Introducing Solid State Fusion Explored: Elements Explained! We're excited to kick off this series with a look at the Coulomb barrier. Our goal is to clarify key terms and concepts commonly encountered in SSF research and presentations, making this pioneering field more accessible to newcomers. Stay tuned for more! “The Coulomb barrier is a repelling force that keeps nuclei apart. Imagine someone trying to push the north poles of two magnets together. Without using lots of energy, the poles will resist each other and push back. Similarly, atomic nuclei are full of positively charged protons that repel one another. Overcoming this barrier enables fusion.” #Fusion #Energy #Science #Research #innovation #cleanenergy #ColdFusion #LENR #Education #FusionEnergy #Nuclear #NuclearFusion

Accelerating the development of Solid-State Atomic & Fusion Energy (S-SAFE) to be humanity’s next primary energy source.
About us
Solid State Fusion Energy is a project of the Anthropocene Institute to enable students and investors to make informed opinions on the opportunities and challenges for S-SAFE to address our global energy and climate crisis. OUR MISSION: Education & Awareness - Educate students and professionals on the basics and benefits of Solid-State Atomic and Fusion Energy (S-SAFE) through FAQ, white papers (LENRaries), and articles. - Evangelize students and professionals to get involved with a call to action (prize to be announced) and events (conference). - Archive current news from academia and industry, with opinions on how this fits within the field Momentum & Growth - To promote and foster excitement of S-SAFE technology in the scientific community. - Showcase news and media and up to date content about S-SAFE activities - Add legitimacy and an authoritative voice to S-SAFE community: consistent, forward thinking, and scientifically trusted source. Connection & Community - Build bridges between the different S-SAFE groups within the active community - Act as a hub to the different S-SAFE schools of thought, send traffic to vetted and filtered sites that we view add value to the community - Resources mapping the space

The quantum era of energy innovation has arrived: ARPA-E just announced $30M to develop quantum solutions to some of the most urgent challenges in energy. “Computer simulations of chemistry and materials drive energy R&D, but classical computing has limits on the complexity it can replicate.” said ARPA-E Director Dr. Evelyn Wang. “QC3 projects will harness the power of quantum computing to exceed those limits and provide researchers with the tools to solve high-impact problems in energy.” Learn more about this groundbreaking program here: https://lnkd.in/e8tfsQtc.

ARPA-E Program Director Dr. Peter De Bock and Tech-to-Market Adviser Dr. Xin Wu visited NASA Ames Research Center to review an innovative project led by USRA and their partners at NASA. With support from ARPA-E's PRE-TRAILS program, the team is developing a cutting-edge system that leverages flight data fusion and advanced machine learning algorithms to predict with high precision the potential for commercial flights to produce persistent contrails. This breakthrough aims to significantly reduce aviation's environmental footprint by mitigating contrail formation. Learn more about PRE-TRAILS here: https://lnkd.in/ec8Z_rae. #ARPAEontheRoad
