But behind the scenes, some widely-used apps contain a hidden risk: hardcoded, unencrypted cloud credentials. When developers hardcode credentials within app code, they unintentionally expose sensitive information. Recent analyses have revealed that popular apps, like Pic Stitch: Collage Maker, contain AWS and Azure credentials within their code. This means that anyone with access to the app’s code could extract these credentials, leading to potential data breaches, manipulation, or exfiltration.
