Here's to the person who helped ignite our growth and shape our company's success:   "There is a graveyard full of companies where the founder made a bad hire early and it sunk the company. There are more still that didn’t die but were set back or slowed down significantly. My first hire did the opposite - he ignited the company’s growth. He poured gas on the fire. And I wish I could say that I knew something about hiring and recruiting that led to that, but truthfully I just had an amazingly talented friend who was willing to take a shot on me. Derik made SOLVD a real company. Overnight I went from solopreneur to a two person team. Five years later he is directly responsible for a large part of our company’s success.
