Back in Texas 🤠 Are you at the #1 defense innovation event of the year? VIA's Chief Commercial Officer, Joe Babiec, is! Joe made his way to Austin, TX for this week's Fed Supernova 2024 event, which brings together key players from enterprises and government to accelerate the integration of commercial technologies in the #DoD. Thanks to Capital Factory for hosting the event and providing a fantastic environment to reconnect with our DoD customers and supporters 🙌

Houston 🛩 San Diego 🚉 DC 🚘 NYC 🚄 Nashville 🎉 To say this past week was an adventure would be an understatement! Our Montreal-based VIAneers, Antoine Dozois and Jonathan Chirwa journeyed south to join us in Somerville 🌱 Day 2: Joining in on the fun at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Energy Symposium event was VIAneers, Kate Ravanis and Becky McClements. Shout-out to the AWS team, Shaima Sharif and Payal Patel for hooking us up with a pod to chat all things VIA with fellow attendees. On the west coast, our VIAneers, Kristen Merrill, Cullen Deimer, and William Lew had productive meetings and capped it off with a Padres game ⚾ ! 🎤 Day 3: In Houston, Kate Ravanis took the main stage to talk about our ultra-secure #GenAI solution and joined a panel alongside Moji Karimi of Cemvita Inc. and Richard Frawley of SwitchDin. Fun fact: VIA was one of only two companies selected for a main stage presentation out of a whopping 700 applicants 😲 ! 🏛️ Day 4: Our CEO Colin Gounden made his way to DC and lucky for us, he snapped some presidential pics! 🍎 Day 5: Wrapping up the week, Colin Gounden made the trek to #NYC to meet with our friend, Delvin Stephens - stay tuned for something exciting from this meeting 🎥 . Finally, Joe Babiec and Haden Snyder ventured to Nashville for a conference 🤝 Thanks to our #VIAneers for representing VIA both near and far - your dedication to spreading to our mission makes us super proud 💙

3️⃣ 0️⃣ years in the making ✨! In 1994, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) first recognized that quantum computing could crack the #encryption of every computer on the planet. As NIST described it in this article: https://lnkd.in/gp5sbfED, it was like peanut butter and chocolate colliding for the first time. A revolution! So, the search began for ways to upgrade existing encryption schemes to counter the coming “post-quantum” computing era. Of course, replacing the existing encryption everywhere is a herculean task 💪. After nearly 10 years of testing, more testing, and even more testing, NIST announced today the final standards for quantum resistant digital signatures and keys 🎉 . Look out for updates from VIA as we incorporate these standards into our tech stack, starting in just a few weeks.
