Does Hypochlorous Acid work to kill bacteria? HOCl is highly active against all bacterial, viral, and fungal human pathogens (including spores). It leads to cell death of invading microbes by numerous reaction schemes oxidation of sulfhydryl enzymes and amino acids, ring chlorination of amino acids, loss of intracellular contents, decreased uptake of nutrients, inhibition of protein synthesis, decreased oxygen uptake, oxidation of respiratory components, decreased adenosine triphosphate production, breaks in DNA, and depressed DNA synthesis. HOCl also interacts with structural proteins, such as the capsid or surface compounds, lipid envelope and DNA/RNA materials of viruses HOCl is one of the key elements of the body’s innate immune response system, based on one of the highest redox potentials of all physiological intracellularly occurring oxidative, enzyme-controlled defence mechanisms. Sonoma’s HOCl is non-cytotoxic, natural ingredients, safe to use on mucus membranes and safe for use on children. Urinary Tract Infections (UTI)s are often painful infections of any part of your urinary system – your kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.🧑🏼 UTIs are very common, especially in women and people that require catheter use. • UTIs are the second most common type of infection • Approximately 30% of people with SCI (Spinal Cord Injury) experience 3 or more UTIs each year • UTIs are a key area of antibiotic use and antibiotic resistance • UTI causing bacteria often form a biofilm - a collection of bacteria that are more difficult to manage Our HOCl product is a unique bladder irrigation which fulfils the requirements of an effective adjunct UTI prevention and treatment. Effective in the removal of UTI-causing bacteria, bacterial biofilms & drug-resistant strains. 🛍️Inspired by our revolutionary Microcyn technology and now available for Online Purchase! https://lnkd.in/gE3hyrXK #bladdercare #uti #urinarytractinfection #sonomasa
