Our Cancer Genetics Test (CGx) can determine if a defective cancer gene has been passed hereditarily. For example, if your father and uncle either has or had colorectal cancer, there is an approximately 99% increased risk that the genetic mutation has been passed to you. Similarly, if your mother and grandmother have or had breast cancer there is an approximately 87% increased risk that the genetic mutation has been passed on to you as well. CGx testing can saves and/or extend lives by allowing potential at risk cancer patients to take action early against cancer rather than identifying it at Stage 3 or 4 when it’s probably too late! We also offer Pharmacogenomics Testing (PGx) which is a test that can determine which cardiovascular, psychiatric, gastroenterology and pain management medications work best for you based on your own unique DNA. PGx testing takes the trial & error approach away from the physician and provides a personalized medicine approach rendering less hospital related Adverse Drug Events and better efficacy. In addition, we provide oral, blood or urine toxicology to support the physician’s medication compliance efforts. We do know that if a patient is not taking their medication(s) properly it can lead to lack of efficacy, adverse drug reactions, hospitalizations or in some cases death.
