I'm excited to share Colaj, a suite of AI collaboration tools we’re working on at Sosolimited. A big part of our vision at SOSO is bringing together design and technology to unlock our collective creative potential. I see a mountain of untapped potential in the power of generative AI to supercharge the intelligence and flow of a group in conversation. Colaj started as a brainstorming room that could energize and challenge a team by listening and responding to conversation in real time. It has evolved into a whiteboarding tool that can accelerate collaborative problem solving through divergent / convergent thinking. All the clips in this reel are from real brainstorms our team has run using Colaj. We’ve been delighted with the ability of the tool to fast forward our collaborative flow and creative yield. Let us know if you want to try it out. Colaj is now in private Beta as a FigJam widget. Stay tuned as we share more details and what we believe is an exciting movement: AI as a real time conversational catalyst of human collaboration, connection and creativity! Thanks to all who have given us invaluable feedback and guidance, including Colin Raney, Teri Schindler, Kent Turner, Michael Pukszta, Christopher Parlato, Lee Moreau, Chris Peterson, Jessie Schlosser Smith, and Jeff Lieberman.

We feel so fortunate to have been part of this visionary team. Much like its innovative structure, algorithm-driven lighting design for the canopy reflects the vibrant spirit of innovation at MIT, transforming the space into a living, breathing entity that embodies the environment and activities around it.

We're honored to have been part of the team that brought the Kendall / MIT Canopy to life. Congratulations on a stunning public addition to MIT and Kendall Square!

The Kendall / MIT Canopy has been public, slicing a piece of sky over the Kendall Square T-stop, for nearly a year now. A new gateway for the East Campus of MIT designed by NADAAA Inc., the canopy features dynamic lighting designed and programmed by Sosolimited to echo and inspire the birth and evolution of ideas at MIT. Given the complexity and number of stakeholders on this project, we were thrilled with the resulting union of physical and digital. The interplay between the light and materiality is so seamless it's often difficult to distinguish the two. Next time you're entering or exiting the T in Kendall, take a moment to look up. You'll see something different every time! A big and belated congratulations to everyone who made this happen, including Benjamin Lavery and the Mitimco team, nader tehrani and the NADAAA team, MIT & Hashim Sarkis, Perkins&Will, Northstar Project & Real Estate Services, Paul Kassabian and the SGH team, Hargreaves Jones Landscape Architecture, Lam Partners, StandardVision, and the SOSO team including Wade Aaron, Wes Thomas, John Rothenberg, and Dalma Földesi.

Eric Gunther and I recently shared our thoughts on digital experience for wellbeing in Healthcare Facilities Today. This article unpacks our thinking around how design and technology can help address the crisis of care. Our key finding: a hospital is a workplace and we need to borrow from the best of workplace design to support the nurses, doctors, clinicians and staff. A healthy team is the first step in healthy outcomes. Put the nurses first! We're excited to be launching some of these project in 2024. More to come on that front real soon. Thanks for an awesome day of talks and conversations at SEGD XLAB!

A big and belated thanks to everyone who organized and attended SEGD XLAB last Friday! It was a special feeling to be surrounded by people who live and breathe the same world of experience and technology. The refrain of applying creative technologies in service of people and feelings was refreshing. From the level of creative direction all the way into the details of implementation, my lens on doing this work was expanded. And Cybelle Jones, Stephanie Riggs, and Sadah Espii Proctor thank you for the opportunity to speak on our panel! It felt good to talk openly about aspirations, challenges, and process in front of an audience. Sosolimited #experiencedesign #emergingtechnologies #xlab #SEGD
