The school year is fast approaching and the need for foster parents, particularly for school-aged children, is immense. We are incredibly thankful to Live 5 News for helping to bring awareness to this need. Mr. Jonathan Dugan, one of our phenomenal Foster Dads, said it so powerfully in his interview, "There's always a dire need for foster parents. It's definitely a challenge, it's definitely not an easy task to take on some days, but the benefit that comes from it, the happiness you see from a child, the connections, relationships that you make, makes it worth it." 💙

If just 1,000 churches had one family become a licensed foster home, it would help children needing a temporary home with a family to have that opportunity. SCYAP is ready to work with any church congregation in South Carolina. There are children in every county in SC that need a family. 💙 Learn more about foster care today. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eFb52Qbg

We are so excited to share the second news segment with Living Living Local Carolina. Thank you to the Living Local crew, Lurline Jerry, SCYAP Associate Executive Director, and our phenomenal foster parent, Ms. Rhonda Benjamin, for such a wonderful job in helping to spread awareness about the great need for more foster families. While National Foster Care Month may be over, it is always the right time to spread awareness about the needs of children in foster care. Not everyone can be a foster parent, but everyone can speak on behalf of children in need. 💙
