Today South Shore YMCA staff Haley Hrono, Human Resources Generalist, and Sonya Nesbitt, Director of the State Street Early Learning Center, represented our team at UMass Boston’s Fall Career Expo to promote career opportunities across our association. The South Shore YMCA Nature Center welcomed over 650 attendees this past Saturday for our annual Cranberry Day Festival, celebrating over 200 years of cranberry cultivation in Massachusetts. Guests of all ages enjoyed hands-on cranberry-themed games, STEAM activities, and delicious treats while learning about the rich history of cranberry farming in the region. This program was supported in part by grants from the Carver, Duxbury, Kingston, and Plymouth Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. We’re grateful to all who joined us in celebrating this New England tradition.
