The Southeastern TeleHealth Resource Center (SETRC) is one of 14 TeleHealth Resource Centers ( 12 Regional and 2 National) funded by the federal Office for the Advancement of Telehealth through a grant program to provide support and guidance to TeleHealth programs. Our mission is to serve as a focal point for advancing the effective use of TeleHealth and support access to TeleHealth services in rural and underserved communities in the southeastern region of the United States. We have extensive TeleHealth experience and can provide services, resources and tools to both developing and operating programs.

We are taking innovation and collaboration to the next level! Check out our new, official partnership with the Florida City of Cape Canaveral. Our Telehealth trailer is now deployable.
Recently, the City of Cape Canaveral took a major step in expanding its adaptive capacity to dealing with hazardous situations with the signing of an MOU with the Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center (SETRC) to utilize their self-contained mobile telehealth trailer on an as-needed, on-call basis. In abnormal operations/post-hazard situations, the trailer will be deployed (if safe to do so) to the City of Cape Canaveral Community Center (C5) to support basic medical assistance to community members either through in-person or virtually present care providers. It could also be used as a small cooling center with its onboard self-powered HVAC, taking potential pressure off Canaveral Fire Rescue. This also adds to our long-term vision of having the C5 become the City's first-ever dedicated #ResilienceHub. During normal operations, the trailer can support educational outreach regarding telehealth and other medical topics as an extension of local medical staff to increase community #Healthcare access and understanding. Huge shout out to the Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center for working with the City to make this #Collaboration a reality, as well as to all of our local first responders and healthcare officials who assisted along the way. And, another big shout out to CommHIT who hosted an event last year at the Kennedy Space Center where this trailer was present.
