Immigration policy and border security are federal responsibilities that require a federal response. SALC opposes Prop 314 because it imposes an unfunded mandate and will overwhelm local communities and state resources without effectively securing the border. Vote NO on Prop 314!

Good governance is essential for a thriving economy. SALC supports Prop 140 to give all voters an equal opportunity to vote in primaries, and to level the playing field for all candidates. This will lead to better policy outcomes and a stronger Arizona. Vote YES on Prop 140!

Pima Community College is an economic engine for our region and its leadership matters. SALC endorses Karla Bernal Morales, MBA (Dist. 5) and Kristen Randall (Dist. 3) for the PCC governing board.

We were honored to hear remarks from Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee recently who presented to SALC’s senior business leaders about the health of Arizona’s treasury and detailed how the state’s investment pool assets have doubled (now $6.76 billion) since she took office in 2019. SALC was also privileged to host Ed Zuercher, Executive Director, Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG), and Farhad Moghimi, Executive Director, RTA - Regional Transportation Authority, who discussed the importance of regional transportation funding and how it transforms our communities.
