Last night, we had the profound honor of celebrating not just athletic excellence, but also character, charity and sportsmanship—values embodied by the late Payne Stewart. For 25 years, the Payne Stewart Award presented by Southern Company has recognized those who carry forward Payne’s remarkable legacy. Each recipient demonstrates how true success is measured by the lives we touch, the communities we uplift, and how we lend a helping hand to make a difference in someone else’s life. This year’s recipient, Brandt Snedeker, exemplifies these ideals in every way. Through his dedication to excellence and tireless efforts to give back through his Snedeker Foundation and Sneds Tour, he has shown what it means to live with purpose and lead with heart.   At Southern Company, we understand that our responsibilities extend beyond providing energy; they encompass lighting the way for future generations, fostering innovation, and building stronger, more resilient communities. As we reflect on the broader impact we can make, let us be reminded that our actions, no matter how small, can create ripples of change that extend far beyond what we might ever imagine.
