In this ever-important election year, we’re excited to launch a major new bilingual campaign to mobilize young voters of color across the South: The South’s Got Now | Decidimos. Together with state and local partners across five states – Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi – we’ll be showing the power that young Black and Brown people have to change history and our communities. The SPLC is a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond
About us
The SPLC is a catalyst for racial justice in the South and beyond, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements, and advance the human rights of all people. We focus our legal, advocacy, and public education efforts on four major areas representing some of the most significant challenges facing the South and beyond: protecting voting rights and civic engagement; eradicating poverty in our Southern communities; dismantling white nationalism and protecting democracy; and decriminalizing and decarcerating Black and Brown people.

One highlight in the 2023 Year In Hate & Extremism #YIHE report 🎯: The SPLC's Intelligence Project’s #DataLab marked its inaugural year of identifying and addressing digital manifestations of hate. The Data Lab launched a series of deep dives into platforms and technologies, such as the Odysee video-hosting platform, that enable hate to flourish online 📲: https://bit.ly/3Y7JfHI

Today, descendants of this historic community are joining together to #SaveRoyal and its largely intact landscape – including the large number of land plots still owned by them: https://bit.ly/3A03Qny
