🌟 Southwest ISD Shines at TASA/TASB TxEdCon Conference 🌟 Our leadership team made a big impact at the TASA/TASB TxEdCon conference downtown this weekend! We had the opportunity to share our district's successful programs and innovative workflows with educators and leaders from across the state. Bob Hope Principal Amy Garza and Dr. Ball presented on the impact of free student meals in the classroom, highlighting how this initiative has positively affected attendance, behavior, and classroom focus. Board Secretary Florinda Bernal, Chief Communications Officer Jenny Collier, and Dr. Ball led a session on empowering our school community to be storytellers—whether they’re board members, staff, students, or parents. We discussed building a cohesive brand, crafting purposeful narratives, and using social media to strengthen our district's presence. Board President Sylvester Vasquez and Dr. Ball also shared insights on the transition with a new superintendent. They reflected on the lessons learned and the strategies put in place to continue driving Southwest ISD’s success. We are proud to represent Southwest ISD and share the amazing work happening in our district! #swisdexperience

The Southwest Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2024-2025 compensation plan package for teachers and staff during the regular board meeting on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The plan includes a 2% raise for all full-time employees and a retention incentive of $1,000.
