The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council (PIC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a thriving workforce in our 14-county service area. We believe in everyone's potential and partner with individuals, employers, and schools to empower job seekers of all ages and backgrounds to find meaningful careers. Through our CareerForce locations in Montevideo, Marshall, and Worthington, and other regional partnerships, we offer employment and training services, business services, and youth career support. We advocate for the low-income, underemployed, and undereducated and strive to be leaders in developing a world-class workforce. 📸 Life Skills Event Recap! Yesterday, 33 students joined us at Ridgewater College for an exciting Life Skills Event! Students participated in hands-on sessions in autobody, welding, agriculture, photography, marketing and sales management, electrical work, and massage therapy. Highlights included a virtual lemonade stand challenge, conduit pipe bending, tripod assembly, and assembling electrical switches and hydraulic systems! Thank you to Ridgewater College for hosting the event and all of the school districts who participated.
