A message from Space Dream Productions Founder & CEO, Koura Linda: hi! wanted to reach out, say "hello!" and share a bit about me and space dream productions! in gist: we're content creators and storytellers and available for hire for all of your video, storytelling, and filmmaking needs - including social media content (millions of views, anyone?). we also do podcasts, graphic design, scriptwriting, film production - you name it! for the long version: i started space dream productions exclusively for film in 2013 and we launched our first film in 2016 ("names on the wall" on amazon prime). since then i've produced dozens of films with 200+ nominations and special mentions (actual indie festivals, submit-get nominated, not pay-per-award laurel factories), going on 70 award wins, and have produced 19 different "best picture" category nominees and winners. in 2019 i was awarded the mico award for innovation, courage, and excellence in a career in film. in 2023 i was the northern virginia international film festival artist of the year. i'm trained and experienced in most film departments, and been awarded as a director, producer, cinematographer, writer, editor, actress, and production designer for multiple projects. as a businesswoman i've grown space dream productions from an idea into a fully functioning company with a focus on two areas: our own films and passion projects, and the services we provide for hire. i personally refuse to sell my soul for corrupt capitalism. i support zebra companies (companies that focus on sustainability, collaboration, and mutual growth while driving services and quality along with their bottom line) and for that reason our clients are exclusively fellow businesses, brands, artists, activists, and educators who are providing quality services to the world, or sharing important messages or helping to educate and empower others and make the world a better place! our most popular client services currently is creating engaging and viral social media content either by assisting with editing content in collaboration with a marketing manager directing and filming the content, or by assisting with writing and filming content which we then edit and turn over for posting. we're not marketing managers, however we are happy to provide a basic marketing 101 consultation service for brands to run their own marketing, or to connect clients to marketing managers who will assist with the actual running of the account. we just announced that we are opening up slots for 5-10 new monthly clients (depending on size of their projects) as we're continuing to bootstrap and looking to hire several more people onto our existing team of almost a dozen people! :D so that's a bit about me and the company! will do more updates on our projects and our work and shout-out some of our awesome current clients as well :) please feel free to reach out if there is anything my team and i can support you with!
Space Dream Productions
Movies and Sound Recording
Acclaimed Indie Production Company providing content creation and filmmaking services, with 19 "Best Picture" projects.
About us
The most major perceived difference between "Hollywood" projects and "Indie" projects is the level of knowledge, experience, professionalism, and an understanding that the world of film is as much a business as it is an art. Yet Indie projects can be (and often are) as professional as Hollywood ones given knowledge, experience, and professionalism. Really. Space Dream Productions is run as a business with staff, contractors, collaborators, and an internship program managed by executives with over 50 years combined experience in the film industry who actually understand (and have done) every single one of the various parts of producing a film. Space Dream Productions handles everything from the development of well-crafted stories through well-crafted productions, managing all of the elements of production at well-organized and well-executed levels from preproduction planning through post production into festivals and distribution. Our values include maintaining high-quality work and work ethic while continuing to innovate storytelling. We know all storytellers are ambassadors of humanity, tasked with sharing our voices. Filmmakers have the added responsibility of creating visual worlds around these stories. For this reason we focus on films that we feel will not only entertain, but aim to showcase pieces of humanity. Since Sept 2016, over 50 projects have moved (or are moving) through our company. Over 25 completed projects have received over 140 award nominations and special mentions, and 51 awards including "Best Animation," "Best Drama: Short", "Best Short", and multiple "Best Director" (awarded to both Koura Linda and Spaceship for 5 different films) and "Best Picture" awards. We work collaboratively in Indie film to amplify stories that may not always be front and center in large studio projects, highlighting otherwise unknown or relatively unknown exceptional artists from all walks of life.

Picture this: a group of BYU students with a dream, a $400k budget, and a whole lot of tater tots. We're talking about the making of Napoleon Dynamite, an indie blockbuster that took the world by storm. From the creative minds of Jared and Jerusha Hess came a script that was pure gold. They knew they had an underdog story on their hands, and boy, did it pay off. With the backing of Jonathan Coon, founder of 1-800 Contacts and brother to producer Jeremy Coon, the team secured their $400k budget. Filming took place in the sweltering heat of Preston, Idaho, over just 23 days. The crew relied on the generosity of locals for housing and food, proving that sometimes it takes a village to make movie magic. This little $400k production went on to gross a whopping $46 million worldwide. That's a return of over 112.5 times the initial investment! At Space Dream Productions, we live for stories like this. It's proof that with a compelling narrative, unforgettable characters, and a whole lot of heart, indie filmmakers can outshine even the biggest Hollywood blockbusters Keep dreaming, keep creating, and who knows? Your $400k idea might just be the next $46 million sensation. Now, if you'll excuse us, we've got some ligers to sketch and bo staff skills to work on. Gosh! #IndieFilmMagic #NapoleonDynamite #DreamBig #SpaceDreamProductions

Our First Day at GIFF: A Night to Remember! Space Dream Productions kicked off the Gasparilla International Film Festival with an unforgettable evening. Our team, led by Koura Linda, had the pleasure of watching "The Friend", a poignant film starring Naomi Watts and Bill Murray, alongside a captivating Great Dane who truly stole the show. The movie's powerful portrayal of grief and companionship is a deeply moving one! Following the screening, we walked the red carpet, basking in the excitement of the festival's opening night. A visit to the filmmaker's lounge allowed us to connect with fellow creatives and industry professionals, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Today, we're thrilled to announce that "The Heist", one of our latest projects, will be screening at 6 PM. We invite you to join us for what promises to be an electrifying experience. Come and be a part of the magic at the Gasparilla International Film Festival! We look forward to seeing you there.

Check out this mind-bending shot from Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)! The camera operator is pulling off some serious zero-gravity ballet here, matching Tom Cruise move for move, but with a hefty piece of equipment strapped to their face. Like Ginger Rogers dancing with Fred Astaire..."backwards and in high heels"! And dig this - there's another camera operator filming the whole shebang! 🎬 #Filmmaking

March is Women's History Month and it's been our honor to shout-out some of the incredible women we have the pleasure of working with and being inspired by! Koura has always been surrounded by strong women in important leadership roles. It is important to remember that someone's gender has nothing to do with their qualifications as a professional in most fields! Here's to a future full of genuine equity! #WomensHistoryMonth #SpaceDreamProductions #FilmmakingActually #WomenInBusiness #WomenInFilm #DEI
