About us
The Space Partnership brings together industry, academia and government stakeholders to work together on priority issues to realise the ambitions set out in the National Space Strategy (NSS), and to grow the UK space sector. The Space Partnership will draw on expert knowledge and insight from across the whole space ecosystem and work collaboratively to support the activities which require a UK sector approach including the evolution and delivery of UK space policy.

If you have not been involved in the process to date, join us this Thursday (15:00-16:00) for a webinar that will explain how the draft Space Science & Exploration Roadmaps have been developed and how you can contribute your thoughts on them over the summer. These roadmaps form part of the set of top-level narrative roadmaps that the Space Partnership is facilitating the development of, covering all UK space activities including Earth Applications, Space Domain Awareness, and in Orbit-Applications. The latest Size & Health of the UK Space Industry has been released highlighting: - 52,000 direct employees in 2021/22 - 1,765 UK-based organisations with space-related activities - 2.3 labour productivity compared to UK average The Space Partnership is working on topics including capability roadmaps and skills to agree collective action to realise the ambition in the National Space Strategy. Having spent the last year bringing industry, academia and government together to develop a set of space capability roadmaps, it was great to move to the next stage and start discussing how they could be used in practice. Thank you to the space team at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence for inviting me to explain how the Space Partnership works and present the roadmapping work to date. I always welcome diversity of thought and the conversation provided a wealth of insights about how industry can approach the roadmaps and how they can provide an effective way of considering future opportunities. Great to see the launch of the NSpOC, which is a key element of the SDA Capability Roadmap developed by industry, academia and government with the Space Partnership.
