As leaders, we're often told to put others first—but what about taking care of ourselves? As a founder, CEO, and parent, I have a lot of people relying on me, and I’ve learned that if I don’t prioritize my well-being, I can’t show up as my best self for them. That's why I focus on a few small but crucial habits—drinking 2L of water each day, exercising 4-5 times per week, and getting 8.5 hours of sleep every night (or the equivalent 😅). I’ve always been a runner, and when I became a parent, it became harder to maintain my training. But if I don’t, I can’t show up as my best self for my little one, partner, or teammates. At Sparrow, we recognize the importance of self-care. We're here to ensure that employees can take the time they need to recover or care for their loved ones, without the added stress of wondering how they’ll get paid.
