SES proudly announces that Sarah Bordenkecher, PE, HFDP, has been selected as a finalist for the Young Women in ASHRAE EmpowHERment Award. She will present at the 2024 Women in ASHRAE Leadership Symposium later this month. Her presentation, titled "How Can Young Women in the HVAC&R Industry Navigate Unique Challenges, and How Can ASHRAE, Employers, and the Engineering Community Cultivate a Culture of Empowerment, Support, and Mentorship to Help Them Thrive?", addresses critical issues in the field of HVAC engineering. We extend our best wishes to Sarah and the other finalists, who all serve as role models and mentors for the next generation of women engineers.

We were thrilled to have our team from SES participate in the CAHED Golf Tournament! It wasn't just about the game—it was about connecting with industry leaders, supporting healthcare engineering, and having a little fun on the green. We had a fantastic day with colleagues and partners, all while contributing to the Colorado Association of Healthcare Engineers and Directors' mission. Thanks to everyone who made it a great event! 

Douglas County, a long-time client of SES, held a groundbreaking yesterday for their new $34M, 80-bed mental health facility which will be an addition to the county correctional facility. SES engineers Matthew Juhnke and Kelly Arnold joined team members Carlson West Povondra Architects and McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. to officially kick off this important project. The design will help service and treat inmates providing them with a holistic approach to their overall care and well-being. #ThisisSES https://lnkd.in/d38q3V94 https://lnkd.in/dQ83yArj

INTERNFEST 2024 – Last week the SES Omaha office celebrated our interns through some friendly (and at times not-so friendly) competition, including games of four square, connect four, Jenga, bag toss and others. We hate to see them go, but we wish them all the best as they return to school to pursue their degrees. #ThisisSES
