  • What sets the SOTF apart from other transition organizations? It’s our people—the dedicated professionals and elite Operators who strengthen our nation. While technology continues to advance, there's no substitute for authentic relationships. Last week, M&C Saatchi World Services NYC generously hosted a mini-workshop for our Operators transitioning to civilian careers in New York. This immersive experience provided invaluable insights into various industries, roles, and, most importantly, connections. A special thanks to Tara Heidger of M&C Saatchi World Services, Kate Quinn of JW Michaels & Co., Ulderico Calero of BNY, and Nicholas Angerame of Stonegardens Advisory for representing fields such as marketing, finance, technology consulting, and defense. Their generosity in sharing expertise and networks is sure to have a lasting impact on our Fellows' journeys, setting them up for success in the next chapter of their lives. DM us to represent your organization at one of our workshops and change the lives of our elite Operators! #TransitioningMilitary #SOTF #TransitioningSOF #SpecOps #SpecOps

🚁 A Weekend of Service and Leadership in Action 🚁 This past weekend, I had the privilege of leading one of the most rewarding operations of my life—volunteering to support disaster relief in Western NC. Alongside a small, dedicated team, we managed airfield operations at Avery County Airport, moving over 500 airplanes and 175,000 pounds of supplies in just two days! 🛩️📦 It all started when a friend reached out, asking if I was involved in the relief efforts. With no initial responses from larger organizations, I tapped into my ability to adapt quickly, coordinate complex logistics, and lead in chaotic environments. From organizing flights ✈️ to ensuring critical supplies reached the hardest-hit areas, my team and I made things happen when it mattered most. 💪 Stepping into an overwhelming situation with little structure or coordination required calm under pressure. By leveraging my experience in managing high-stakes operations, we brought order and efficiency to the airfield. Our grassroots efforts stabilized the situation and demonstrated the power of skilled individuals taking action. 🙌 This experience reinforced the value of staying calm under pressure, making decisive calls, and executing plans with minimal resources. It also highlighted the need for more effective logistics and coordination in disaster relief efforts. How have you handled high-pressure situations where you had to bring order out of chaos? What strategies have worked for you? What are your ideas on how to prevent this in the future? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 👇💬

I help licensed professionals, service providers, and business owners achieve their dream outcomes in money, mission, and magic!

Chance Encounter at the Beach Leads to a $25,000 Donation In mid-August, I was drying off after a surf session when I spotted a familiar face checking out the waves—Austin Moore Moore, a fellow pilot from the 2nd Special Operations Squadron eight years ago. Unfortunately, the swell had gone flat, so I called out to him with the news. Recognizing me, we caught up, and I learned about his impressive entrepreneurial journey. Austin has launched two non-profits and is now the CEO of SOTF - Special Operators Transition Foundation It was perfect timing, as I had been searching for veteran entrepreneurs to feature on Heart of Influence: Veteran Business Owners and Entrepreneurs, a show I co-host. My business partner and show host, Sean R. Callagy of UNBLINDED is a multi-business owner, attorney, and master of integrity-based human influence—the only attainable superpower. During the show, we conduct role-plays to assess our guest’s ability to gain a “yes” with integrity. This episode featured a final role-play between Austin (playing Tom Cruise) and Sean (playing Austin, asking Tom Cruise for a donation). After the role play, Sean stunned us all by donating $25,000 to SOTF—something unprecedented in the show’s history. I know Sean’s unwavering commitment to helping EVERYONE achieve their version of the American dream. His deep respect and admiration for those of us who risk our lives to protect it is profound. Whenever the show features an all-military guest list, the outcomes are always extraordinary. This $25,000 gesture moved many of us to tears, making it a truly unforgettable Heart of Influence. Sean saw in Austin and SOTF a clear alignment of values—leaders fostering growth in other leaders, empowering them to tackle even bigger challenges. This vision mirrors the mission of Unblinded, which seeks to cause leaders to see what they don’t see about how to grow their influence in the world - by growing businesses, mission impact, and relationships with integrity and in service to others - so they can make the world an even greater place. These shows are not just about networking and learning about influence; they are about building powerful partnerships. Business is a team sport where you can create opportunities to win every day. Even when you don’t win, you innovate and optimize, setting the stage for bigger future successes. Finding the right teammates and partners is essential for creating that brighter future, and that’s why I do what I do. I'm thrilled to see what Austin and SOTF accomplish with this generous donation, and I’m excited about the possibilities for our future collaborations and wins together. #veterans #leadership #specialoperators #sustainablegiving

Rory is a seasoned Special Operations leader who recently retired after 21 years of selfless service. A snapshot of some of Rory’s accomplishments includes: ⚡ Rory served in the Marines before joining the Army Special Forces. He provided joint fire support to Marines, Soldiers, and Iraqi Army partners during two deployments to Iraq and a tour as a member of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable). ⚡ After joining the Army and earning his Green Beret, Rory deployed across the Middle East and Central Asia, working alongside partners in Afghanistan, Jordan, Lebanon, and Tajikistan. In Syria, Rory oversaw mission planning and execution as the Operations Officer of a task force combatting the Islamic State. ⚡ Prior to retiring, Rory was a Special Operations planner and ran campaign development for joint task forces in Kuwait, Iraq, and Qatar. He volunteers with a local SOF transition group and helps connect transitioning operators with partners in the business community to help them prepare for a new career. ⚡ “I can’t speak highly enough of the support the SOTF team gave me during my transition. The tools they provided gave me the insight I needed to understand the value I bring to an organization and determine where and how I would best perform in a new role. I appreciate the personal touch they put on all of their interactions with SOTF Fellows; the entire team goes out of their way to ensure I had what I needed to be successful.” - Rory Congratulations, team O'Connor!

Less than 1% of those who serve in the armed forces have the unique skill, determination, and grit to endure the rigorous selection and training processes. They are America's best leaders. . . . • Won't You Be My Neighbor? by Mr. Fred Rogers "It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood, A beautiful day for a neighbor. Would you be mine? Could you be mine?" 🎥 We’re incredibly proud to spotlight SOTF alum Tommy Daniel and several current SOTF Fellows who are demonstrating the true value of character and selfless service as they answer the call to provide critical rescue efforts to Western NC communities affected by Hurricane Helene. In Special Operations, Tommy's area of expertise was constructing data systems and employing analysis to provide vital information for decision-making. Today, as a civilian, Tommy uses his talents for the greater good through Operation Helo. Tommy and the SOTF Fellows' dedication illustrates that the same attributes that made them exceptional in uniform—resilience, innovation, and integrity—are making a lasting impact in local communities. Wouldn't you want them to be your neighbors? 🇺🇸 Support their incredible efforts at www.operationhelo.org #LeadershipMadeInAmerica #Veterans #SOTF #MakingADifference #CommunityFirst #HurricaneHelene #SOTFTransition #SpecialOperations https://lnkd.in/eiq-8p34
