Melissa participated in Pegasus’ Annual Horse Show. She has been riding for a couple of years and is now at a level five. Each rider competes at a different level that reflects their riding skills. Melissa’s level 5 was scored by the judges by looking at her ability to steer her horse through a series of obstacles. Congratulations on reaching Level 5 Melissa!

SPIN Community & Fitness is having a Spooky Stroll October 13-19. During the course of the week we are encouraging everyone to walk for SPIN and raise money to get updated lighting and sound for the Theater. You may have noticed that our mascot Skelly, the Giant Skeleton, who has been cheering us on from the front lawn of SPIN Community & Fitness is missing, he was stolen on Sunday, October 6th in the early morning hours. We miss him, but we will Stroll on without him. If you are interested in supporting the Spooky Stroll click the link below. https://lnkd.in/ebkncY8y

Dexter had been searching for a job for four years, seeking a position that would benefit from his talents but also have the right environment for Dex to feel happy and comfortable. As a result of detailed community mapping, Dexter’s SPIN Employment Specialist Imani networked with the owners of Hair Wizards Barbershop. She knew that this would be the perfect environment for Dex who longs to build new relationships with community members his own age, something that has been difficult for him to do over the years. Imani and the owners Dominic and Angel collaborated to carve a position for Dex that involves sweeping the shop, wiping the counters, and maintaining the restrooms. One of the owners, Dominc, teaches a training for other professionals to learn hair cutting techniques and strategies for people with sensory issues, ensuring their business is accessible by the full community. Dex’s commitment and talent in bringing joy to customers have made him a crucial asset to the Hair Wizards Team. When asked what his favorite part of the job was, Dex enthusiastically replied “I am excited to buy things for myself”. Dex continues to flourish at his new job and aims to save up for a concert or a trip. Congratulations, Dex! #NDEAM #SPIN #Employment
