Whittier College UniHealth Peer Health Educator Program, in partnership with SPIRITT Family Services, offered a Summer Fellowship Internship. From July 17 to August 11, 2023, eight students completed 64 hours of shadowing at SPIRITT, rotating through programs like Substance Abuse, Partnership for Families, Fund Development, and Outpatient Mental Health. The students gained valuable skills across multiple programs, each offering unique learning experiences. They participated in clinical experiences where they observed SPIRITT therapists in action, witnessing firsthand how professionals create safe and inclusive spaces for clients to begin their healing journeys. #SPIRITT #WhittierCollege #UniHealth #Internship

  • The SPIRITT team had an amazing time giving back to our community with our Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway! Spiritt provided free school supplies, snacks, and beverages to help students start the school year strong. But it’s more than just supplies—this event was about strengthening our community and supporting our kids' mental health. The right tools can boost confidence, reduce stress, and set children up for success in education and life. Together, we're not just preparing kids for school—we’re empowering them for a brighter future. #mentalhealth #backpack #spiritt #backtoschool #schoolsupplies
