A recognized leader in finance and operations, Creighton was named CFO of the Year in 2023 by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal (MSPBJ). Over the past decade, he has cultivated a diverse professional background spanning accounting, corporate finance, and operational leadership. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Andre demonstrates a strong commitment to leadership and mentorship within his community, having served as a high school football coach and on the board of directors for FEI Twin Cities, St. Paul Area Chamber and Saint Paul College-A Community and Technical College. The Bush Prize program identifies and honors extraordinary organizations that consistently engage and lead their community toward creative solutions, provides them with flexible support to keep doing that work, and supports them to amplify their story to inspire others. In 2025, two organizations will be selected as Bush Prize: Minnesota honorees. Honorees will receive an award of $250,000. The award is unrestricted and can be used for any charitable purposes in the state of Minnesota, including operating costs, program-related expenses, capital expenditures or whatever else would best support the organization's ongoing work. Last week we gathered together with members of the community to launch Volume 4 of East Metro Pulse, a survey and report used to measure community vitality in the Twin Cities East Metro. Panelists from the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, Amherst H. Wilder Foundation and Research in Action broke down the report's methodology and highlights. Attendees then had the opportunity to dive into the data together using our interactive data book. We're excited to launch Volume 4 of our East Metro Pulse report! 🎉 East Metro Pulse is a biennial survey and report measuring community vitality in the Twin Cities East Metro. The report assesses how community members feel about several topics, including community connectedness, economic opportunity and security, education, health, housing and transportation. “The data collected from the East Metro Pulse survey provides us with insights on the concerns, needs and experiences of East Metro residents,” said Stephanie Peterson, Director of Learning at the Foundation. “We plan to use these results in our own work. It's hard not to get lost in a trance when you hear the rhythms from Cimarrón Batucada. 🎶 Created by community member, occupational therapist and artist John Salgado Maldonado, Cimarrón Batucada uses the art of drumming to address social justice issues and promote cross-cultural community engagement. Originally from Chile, John moved to Willmar, Minnesota, where he helps people in the community find purpose and a sense of belonging through music.
