What a Night to Celebrate Oregon Sports 🏆 The Night of Champions was a huge success, bringing together over 400 attendees to honor the incredible achievements of Oregon athletics—from high school standouts to professionals. We celebrated the 2024 Oregon Sports Awards winners and the new inductees into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame, making it an unforgettable evening of legacy and inspiration. Sport Oregon is proud to announce our 2nd place finish at the 2024 Oregon Charity Championship. We earned $15,000 to support our mission of enhancing sports across the state. Our team, featuring Hannah Swanson, Jordan Fezler, Taylor Klopp, and Bill Winter delivered an incredible performance. S/O Hannah, who also won a KP, adding another $1,000 to our total. Congratulations to David Lucas and his team from the Maurice Lucas Foundation for securing 1st place. David—who is also on our board—has kindly pledged $5,000 of their winnings to Sport Oregon. Our Young Professionals Board hosted the second annual Pickleball Tournament last week, with proceeds benefitting She Flies. A big thank you to our partners and participants for making it a great day of competition and community!

Portland is proud to be named a host city for the 2028 NCAA D1 Women's Basketball Regionals! The competition, the energy, the road to the Final Four—it’s all happening right here. As we build momentum toward the 2030 Women’s Final Four, we’re excited to welcome this tournament back to the Rose City. This marks the seventh time Portland has been selected to host a D1 NCAA basketball event since 2019!

Emceed by KGW’s Orlando Sanchez and Oregon legend Neil Everett, the Hall of Fame induction and Oregon Sports Awards celebration will take place at the Night of Champions on Tuesday, October 29.
