The NHL and NHLPA are launching the 4 Nations Face-Off, featuring NHL players from the U.S., Canada, Finland, and Sweden 🏒 Scheduled for Feb. 12-20 in Boston and Montreal, this event will replace the All-Star Game and marks the league's first international competition with NHL players since the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The plan includes NHL participation in the 2026 Winter Olympics and a full World Cup every four years starting in 2028. That is among the storylines we are watching for the upcoming NHL season. The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the Red Sox, have announced a multiyear naming rights deal with Delta Dental, renaming the team’s stadium to Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field ⚾ The new name will be showcased on the 6,868-seat stadium’s facade and throughout the ballpark, which has been a fixture in coastal Maine since 1994. As part of the deal, Delta Dental will sponsor fan events, including the Sea Dogs’ annual Fan Festival, and will donate 20 tickets to local nonprofits for each of the 69 regular season home games.
