    Last season, the Pac-12 Networks moved homes from San Fransisco to a new state-of-the-art facility in San Ramon. This plan was crafted prior to the two school exodus from the conference, and has made it so the hub can continue to service the schools in the league, as well as third parties that can benefit from the high end production services.     The growing trend of real-time animated sports broadcasts hit the regional-sports-network level in April when NBC Sports Chicago and the National Hockey League (NHL) presented an animated alternative broadcast of the Chicago Blackhawks’ game with the Dallas Stars. In celebration of “Tommy Hawk’s Birthday Party,” the animated broadcast was streamed live and targeted a children’s audience.     At ESPN Media Day, the company celebrated its 45th year with talks of new plans, technologies and more. Chairperson Jimmy Pitaro, shared his views on what will continue to make the company stronger, including rights deals. For the 2025 season, ESPN will be launching a new DTC service internally called "Flagship". This service will build off of the previous ESPN+ platform, and provided enhanced technology on the digital side that will cater to the various types of fans.     Beginning his career as a production assistant for NBC in 1981, Tommy Roy rose through the ranks to eventually become Executive Producer of NBC Sports for 12 years. During this time, he won 29 Sports Emmy Awards, and was the producer of the iconic NBA on NBC, which included the coverage of Michael Jordan and the Bulls’ first three championships. His impressive coverage spans 7 Super Bowls, 25 US Opens, every Ryder Cup since 1993, various Oympic Games and more. Congratulations to Tommy Roy for his induction to the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame!

    Chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, Mark Lazarus has created new deals for NBC with the Olympics, the NBA, the NFL and more, helping secure a top lineup for the network. With his expertise, he has helped make NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” primetimes #1 show for the past 12 years. Prior to his start at NBC, he was president of Turner Entertainment Group 2003-2008, overseeing all aspects of the network, and President of Turner Sports from 1999-2003. He quickly became known as one of the ultimate insiders of the NFL, breaking news that made ESPN a must watch for fans and NFL staffers alike.     Recipient of Sports Emmy Awards as well as a Peabody, Andrea Kremer is one of the industry’s most accomplished journalists today. Having worked on more than 30 Super Bowls, NBA Finals, Olympic Games and more, she has secured sports in both the Pro Football Hall of Fame as well as the National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame. She also made history as NFL Films’ first female producer, ESPN’s first female correspondent and the first full-time female NFL analyst on Prime Video’s “Thursday Night Football”. Congratulations to Andrea Kremer for her induction to the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame!
