Continuing with the Olympic spirit, the 2024 Paralympics are in full force beginning with today’s opening ceremonies. The crew at NBC Sports is continuing their heavy pull for the games, with an estimated 1,500 hours of coverage across 20+ sports on Peacock, using fan favorite features such as GoldZone and Multiview. The trickiest part about the Paralympics is that the timing aligns with kickoffs of fall sports programming, making it a tricky and exciting time for the production team. At the center of the Paralympics coverage will be all the VANDA feeds provided by OBS which will begin their journey to Stamford via the IBC in Paris where the operations have shrunk but are no less critical. In regards to commentary, NBC talent will be utilized with a mix of OBS commentary all accommodating the VANDA feeds. Venues that were also seen during the 2024 Olympics will be converted into new sports fields and spaces, allowing the iconic scenery to maintain its role. This Sunday, NASCAR peels into Darlington for the final race of the Cup Series regular season: the Cook Out Southern 500. It’s been a banner year for the behind-the-scenes teams at NASCAR Productions and NASCAR Studios as, earlier this year, the auto racing giant opened a brand new 58,000-sq.-ft. media production facility in Concord, NC. Among the many introductions to the organization’s live event workflows is an innovative approach to media management. To increase efficiency and boost its production capabilities, NASCAR implemented Perfect Memory’s Cognitive Asset Management (CAM) solution into its central production environment earlier this year. The CAM system, which is being utilized for all post-production MAM needs, can fully integrate with NASCAR’s data APIs for live and archival metadata of the sport. In this exclusive presentation, Chris Wolford, Managing Director, Media & Event Technology at NASCAR shares how this innovative “MAM-as-a-Brain” approach allows NASCAR to process, enrich, and search for content more easily thanks to auto-generated metadata and a next-gen search engine. 🏎 : https://lnkd.in/gfZ2jWet

As a licensed mental health counselor, Lisa D. had lots of experience assessing alcohol disorders. Nevertheless, she says, “it's somehow different when it's your own child.” When her daughter, Logan, had a seizure late one night in her college dorm, medical tests revealed unexpected results. “The doctor said she had the liver of a hard drinker,” Lisa recounts.
