Big changes are coming to California’s climate regulations. With the signing of SB-219, there’s a six-month extension for the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to adopt regulations, now set for July 1, 2025. Plus, companies can report GHG emissions at the consolidated parent company level, aligning with SB-261. However, the 2026 deadline for reporting GHG emissions and climate risks remains unchanged.
