    📢 Final Hurricane Milton Update Our residents and team are safe and in high spirits today as Hurricane Milton moves offshore into the Atlantic Ocean. At the Beach House, we have power, food, medicine, and essential supplies. Also, there is no damage to the building. We are extremely grateful to able to operate normally. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones and were negatively impacted by the storm. We also want to express our gratitude to emergency management agencies and first responders. Thank you for all you do to keep us, Florida Strong!

  • Hurricane Milton Update October 9, 2024 – 6:00 PM ET As Hurricane Milton makes landfall, we wanted to provide a quick update. Our team is closely monitoring the storm's path and staying in regular contact with emergency management agencies. Based on their guidance, we have made the decision to shelter in place. We are fully prepared and confident in our team's strength and readiness. Our thoughts and prayers are with all Floridians during this challenging time. To reduce non-emergency calls, we will post general updates here throughout the storm. Family members and caregivers, we will continue to reach out to you directly as promptly as possible. Stay safe, everyone!

    📢 Important Information Regarding Hurricane Milton Our team is carefully monitoring the path of Hurricane Milton. The safety of our residents and teammates is our top priority. Our team at the Beach House has experience in these situations and is prepared with a robust emergency plan in place. This includes (but is not limited to): 1️⃣ Collaborating and communicating with local, state, and federal agencies in Jacksonville and surrounding areas 2️⃣ Ensuring our power systems are functioning correctly and backups are in place 3️⃣ Scheduling staff to remain onsite to provide continuous care and support 4️⃣ Stocking up on food, water, medicine, and essential supplies 5️⃣ Remaining in contact with family members and loved ones We are planning to remain in place unless we are mandated to evacuate. If we find it necessary to evacuate the Beach House, we have a prepared evacuation plan to move our residents to other senior living communities in a safe location. If this is decided, we will update family members and caregivers directly, along with updating this post. We will provide general updates here during the storm to minimize the number of non-emergency phone calls to the main phone number at the Beach House. Family members and caregivers, we will continue to communicate with you directly. 📞 If there is an urgent need, please call the main phone number at the Beach House: (904) 615-8076. We are grateful for our caring, supportive, and dedicated team, along with first responders, who are committed to serving the Beach House and the greater Jacksonville area.
