About us
Spring Lake Park Schools is a vibrant school community serving about 6,200 students from the suburbs of Blaine, Fridley and Spring Lake Park, in the northern Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Our district purpose – “High expectations, high achievement for all. No excuses” – provides our focus to meet the unique and varied needs of each student. We have three K-4 elementary schools, a K-4 Spanish immersion school, a grades 5-8 intermediate and middle school – with separate programs for grades 5-6 and grades 7-8, a grades 9-12 high school, a school for highly-gifted students ages 6-18, and an online distance-learning program. There are also a variety of early learning programs offered for families. Our vision includes a focus on creating personalized and engaging learning experiences so that each student feels valued, inspired and has a sense of belonging, resulting in career and college readiness so that each student has aspirations for success. We are collectively committed to taking whatever actions are necessary to achieve this vision. Innovation is part of who we are in Spring Lake Park Schools. We are continually looking toward what else is possible and how might we improve and enhance learning for each student. We have created a system that encourages teachers and staff to innovate and think differently. Creativity and human-centered design support teachers in creating learning experience that are meaningful, engaging and enhance student engagement and success.

This morning, 50 employees who are new to our schools since the beginning of the school year gathered for orientation and community building. They learned more about what it means to be a part of Spring Lake Park Schools, got to know their role in our vision and each other better and had some fun (think extreme rock, paper, scissors). Welcoming new members to our community always makes us #SLPPantherProud!
