Springer Physical Therapy is officially closed starting today and Dr. Springer would like to thank the many people who have made Springer Physical Therapy such a success. First, she would like to thank the doctors who referred patients to her clinic, creating a wonderful relationship between community members during all our years of operation. She would also like to thank all of our patients who put their trust in us over the years. And last, but certainly not least, she would like to thank her dedicated staff who have worked diligently to deliver the dramatically different care we have been known for.

Did you know physical therapy can help with osteoporosis? Through PT, clients are always working to prevent osteoporosis, even if they don’t realize it! •Anytime someone is lifting light weights or exercising, they are building bone mass. •Physical therapists can help clients build bone and strength with weights, resistance bands and bodyweight exercises. •Physical therapists will also help improve your balance and posture to help with weaker bones. 3 convenient locations in Chesterfield, Creve Coeur and O’Fallon. Let's talk blood flow restriction. With this technique, we use straps to restrict blood flow to certain muscles, helping you build strength while lifting lighter loads. This is a handy technique when you’ve just had surgery, and it’s a good way to give you the benefit of a harder workout while lifting lighter. Schedule your appointment with us to see if this therapy could help you by visiting https://lnkd.in/equDHJgh. 📍3 convenient locations in Chesterfield, Creve Coeur and O’Fallon. #bloodflowrestriction #bfr #physicaltherapy #occupationaltherapy #pt

Sitting at a desk and looking at a computer screen all day can lead to a stiff neck, tired shoulders and less than ideal posture. Here are some stretches and tips to try throughout the day: 👉 Remember to take breaks. This could mean a short walk, standing up from your chair, or looking away from the computer screen for a few minutes. 👉 Stretches like reaching your arm over your head to each side, raising your arms straight into the air, and spinal twists are great ways to get a stretch in while sitting at your desk. 👉 Rolling your neck slowly to each side, using your hand to pull your head toward each shoulder gently, and using one hand to pull your elbow either behind your head or closer to your body are all good stretches to try while stationary. #neckstretches #shoulderstretches #stiffneck #physicaltherapist #ptstlouis

Keeping your yard looking sharp during the summer is a fun and rewarding experience, but make sure to follow these tips to ward off injuries while enjoying the summer sun. 🌞 1. Warm up and stretch before your yard work, easing into the day. 2. Breaking your gardening sessions into segments with allotted times for breaks is important. 3. Bend at your legs when picking up mulch or heavy items. 4. Keep good posture when doing activities around the yard. 5. Make good use of tools to eliminate stress on your body. 6. Stay hydrated and be sure to drink at least 20 oz of water an hour or so before you head outside. 📍3 convenient locations in Chesterfield, Creve Coeur and O’Fallon. It can often be difficult to know when it's time to bring your child in for physical therapy. To find the answer, ask yourself these simple questions. • Does your child have difficulty climbing stairs, jumping, or standing on one foot for long periods? • Does your child seem to be having trouble with coordination and balance? • Does your child have muscle tone significantly weaker than what seems normal for his age? • Has your child experienced a sports injury that requires musculoskeletal rehabilitation? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're child might benefit from PT. Consider bringing your child in for a consultation with a physical therapist at Springer. 📍3 convenient locations in Chesterfield, Creve Coeur and O’Fallon.
