Glasstec in Düsseldorf, a major show for the glass industry, only takes place every two years. But it is coming up quickly, and we are excited to have new products there in Hall 12, stand B23, October 22-25. Our second generation remotely adjustable magnet bar, RAM-Bar™ 2.0 includes more diagnostics, improved electronics and overall robustness, easier single-point battery charging and multiple interface protocols for better system integration. Our new anode linear ion source for large area is currently completing its test phase. It is a complete solution for reducing haze and defects and improving adhesion and film growth. Furthering our effort to drive innovation in automation and control systems, Kyle Christenson has joined Sputtering Components as a controls engineer. A native of Owatonna, Minn., Christenson has a B.S. in Computer Science from Concordia University in Irvine, Calif.

We at Sputtering Components were pleased to support our representative AVACO and its customer in Brazil on this cathode retrofit project.

All the way from Mehlingen, Germany, where she is an apprentice with our European representative, robeko, Alexandra Schäfer is interning with us this summer. She has been learning about and helping functions here: inventory, purchasing, sales and marketing.   Schäfer wanted to come to SCI to learn how business is done in America, get a better understanding of the products Sputtering Components makes and get input to decide what department she wants to work in in the future.   “Knowing more about SCI products will help me provide a better experience for robeko’s customers,” she said. “Furthermore, I am getting to know the people at SCI, which will help me find the right person when I am working to provide a customer solution." #thinfilms #PVD #glasscoating
