What do HR and HCD have in common? It's not a trick question - they're both all about the 'Humans' 👥 It’s putting the ‘human’ back in Human Resources leveraging Human Centered Design..... In the last decade, HCD changed the game in customer experience. Now, it’s HR’s turn. Imagine a world where HR is not just about processes but experiences.

Manifesto #4: We believe that design thinking methodology has great potential to unleash the creativity of HR teams to help companies design great employee experiences 🚀 Over the past decade, design thinking has been a game-changer in enhancing customer experiences across the board. But design thinking and human centered design aren’t methodologies restricted to one realm of application… Now, it’s HR’s moment to shine. ✨ Companies like Deloitte have started this journey by leveraging Design Thinking to transform HR from a “process developer” to an “experience architect”. 🛠️ At Squadsy, we're on a mission to empower HR teams with design thinking to innovate and uplift employee experiences. 💪 #DesignThinking #HR #EmployeeExperience #Humancentereddesign

🎉 Teamwork makes the dream work... especially in the world of Employee Experience! 🎉 Think of the People team as our maestro, wielding the baton and setting the tempo. But what’s a conductor without their orchestra? That's where managers, buddies, mentors and everyone else come in. Whether you're a violinist playing the melodies, a percussionist setting the rhythm, or someone ensuring the notes are on point, we all have a part in this grand performance called 'Crafting a Great Employee Experience.'

👇 Manifesto Point #3: Empowering HR Through Creativity 👇 We strive to empower HR teams through creative tools to create delightful content that expresses the culture of the company 🎨 The Problem: The Creative Block in HR 🚧 We get it; creating eye-catching content often requires juggling multiple dynamic assets like email layouts, snappy copywriting, vibrant visuals, and videos. This usually leaves HR dependent on external design or creative teams, or expensive tools. 🤷♀️ Not Every Team Has That Luxury 🤷♂️ Access to creative resources shouldn't be a luxury; it should be accessible to all. We aim to change the game by giving EVERY HR team the tools they need to bring their creative visions to life, without relying on external resources.

Each week we'll expand on one of our manifesto principles 2. We strive to empower companies to support employees during key moments that matter Moments that Matter’ is a concept that's become popular over the past few years. Mckinsey’s research has shown that 54% of HR folks are interesting in exploring this approach. Taking a ‘moments’ approach implies a fundamental shift in perspective Old way of thinking: Attract -> recruit -> hire -> onboard -> develop -> engage -> retain But in reality, employees don't actually think of their work experience along these lines... No one thinks "Aha, I'm finally in the develop stage" Thinking in terms of moments encourages People/HR teams to attempt to step in their people's shoes and ask what are moments that actually matter to them.... Whether it be someone's first day or taking parental leave to care for a newborn or going thru an anxious relocation or becoming a manager for the first time It gives People/HR teams a tool to actualize empathy It helps People/HR teams make the shift from being process centric —> people centric #humancentereddesign #humanresources #employeeexperience #peopleops

    The Modern People Leader Podcast

Historically, companies have hired roles like COO, CFO, and CTO first. Then, a VP of People is hired, and this person usually sits outside of the leadership team and feeds into another leader. Jessica Z. says that's because VP of Peoples aren't always looked at as commercial leaders. When in reality, they’re in charge of 60-70% of the companies operating expenses. Hear how she thinks we can make the Head of HR role commercial. ⬇️⬇️ #CHRO #ChiefPeopleOfficer #COO #VPPeople #Humanresources #HR #podcast #modernpeopleleader #leadership

Each week, we'll expand on one of our manifesto principles ✨ 1. We believe that creating great employee experiences is a team sport that depends on amazing collaboration across teams ✨ Often, HR teams are made to bear the weight of creating a great employee experience and company culture. But both EX and company culture are so broad and all encompassing that so many different teams and stakeholders play a crucial role. Take onboarding for example, it involves managers, buddies, IT teams, HR teams, recruiters. All these teams and stakeholders need to collaborate with each other and play their part. That's when the magic happens. Yes, the HR team does play a special role similar to a point guard in basketball or a conductor in an orchestra. That's why we believe that great employee experience is a TEAM SPORT. #teamsport #humanresources #employeeexperience
