We are pleased to announce that we are now recruiting for a second cohort of future teachers in our Teachers for Tomorrow Residency Program in partnership with Saint Mary’s College! Following the success of the first cohort, we are looking for a second group of 20 aspiring teachers, specifically in the areas of Special Education, and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The Teachers for Tomorrow Residency Program is funded entirely by a grant awarded to SRVUSD by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) and has no financial impact on the district budget. Attend an info session to learn more! bit.ly./TeachSRVUSD

We are thrilled to share that Pine Valley Middle School teacher, Tracy Schluntz, has been awarded a $10,000 grant for her clothing class electives. The grant — from the Miranda Lux Foundation — will go far to support the classes that teach hand and machine sewing, simple embroidery, using pattterns, mending, quilting and creating clothing. The clothing classes are a new addition at PVMS this year and were made possible by Prop 28 funding. SRVUSD is so proud to support vocational education and exploration for our students! #WeAreSRVUSD
