Formed in 1959, South Suburban Parks and Recreation is a regional provider of parks and recreation services in Colorado.
About us
South Suburban Parks and Recreation maintains nearly 3,800 acres of developed and open space land, including 119 multi-purpose athletic fields, more than 100 parks, nearly 100 miles of trails, 60 playgrounds, 56 tennis courts, and the 880-acre South Platte Park. We also own and operate four full-service recreation centers – the Douglas H. Buck Community Center, Goodson Recreation Center, Lone Tree Recreation Center, and Sheridan Recreation Center; four golf courses – the Family Sports Golf, Littleton Golf & Tennis Club, Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel, and the South Suburban Golf Course; four outdoor pools – Ben Franklin, Cook Creek, Harlow and Holly; four restaurants; two ice centers - Family Sports Ice Center and South Suburban Ice Arena; two 18-hole adventure miniature golf courses - Colorado Journey and Family Sports Outdoor Mini Golf; batting cages at Cornerstone Park; the County Line BMX track; the Family Sports Dome; the Family Sports Center; 15 guest suites at the Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel, and the Carson Nature Center. It's the final day of Buck Recreation Center's Maintenance Week! 🛠️🧼 Staff and contractors have worked hard to drain and deep clean the pool, clean the rest of the facility, including windows, replace tile in the lobby, touch up paint throughout the facility, replace flooring in the Atchinson Room, and much more. We can't wait to welcome everyone back to this sparkling facility in City of Littleton on Saturday!

We had a great time at Littleton's Meet Greet & Eat last night at Harlow Park! 😁 It was great to see so many people enjoying the new playground, benches and park shelter, while having the opportunity to interact with representatives from various city departments and partners. We hope everyone enjoys this new, improved and accessible playground for many years to come and thank our partners, City of Littleton and Arapahoe County Open Spaces for making these improvements possible!
