Founded in 1905, St. Lucie County is located on Florida's east coast between Orlando and Miami. Comprised of the City of Fort Pierce (county seat), City of Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie Village, St. Lucie County's population is roughly 287,000. The Board of County Commissioners is comprised of five elected officials that are elected at-large. The county employees roughly 750 full-time employees that manage roughly 11,000 acres of environmentally preserves, more than 50 facilities, 2,300 acres of active parks and 21 miles of coastlines with nearly two dozen beach accesses. St. Lucie County Opens Public Information Lines to Address Network Outage ST. LUCIE COUNTY – The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners’ main network has been offline since Friday, Oct. 27 due to network issues. Crews are working to resolve and restore the issue as quickly as possible. The Public Safety Department has opened the Public Information Lines today (Oct. 30) from 1 to 6 p.m. to address questions and concerns from the public about what services are being impacted. The Public Information Line is: 772-460-HELP or 772-460-4357. All departments that fall under the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners are open for normal office hours. Staff is working to continue to provide service with limited access to phones and emails. This network outage is also impacting other constitutional offices, such as the St. Lucie County Tax Collector and St. Lucie County Clerk of the Court. St. Lucie County plans to keep the Public Information Lines open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until our network is restored. Information will also be shared through St. Lucie County’s social media channels at @Stluciegov.
