  • September is 💚 NICU Awareness Month, 💚 and we are so thankful for our NICU nurses, physicians and support staff who care for out tiniest patients each day at our hospital! Meet Katie Crenshaw, one of the NICU nurses at STMH! Katie has been a nurse a nurse at STMH for 12 years and has been in the NICU for 9! Katie loves being a NICU nurse at St. Mary's Health Care and says "I love watching our babies grow! To see these teeny tiny little fighters grow into big healthy babies, is a miracle. To be able to hand a mom their baby to hold for the first time, and to help teach our parents to how to care for their tiny baby is the best. • Congratulations to Sandy Rosenberg, RN, on receiving St. Mary's most recent DAISY Award for Nursing Excellence! Sandy provides care in our Short Stay Unit and was nominated by a patient for her warm smile and tremendous empathy while the patient and her family were going through a very difficult time. "We would just like to recognize Ms. Sandy for going above and beyond the call of duty and for making a dark day a whole lot brighter,” the patient said. Thank you, Sandy -- and congratulations! • St. Mary's Family Medicine is growing to enhance care for our growing community. Early next year, the practice of Dr. Devin Stephens, Dr. Alex Duggan and nurse practitioners Jennifer Sutherland and Christine Harr will be moving to larger, brand-new offices in the Village at Malcom Bridge. We're excited and are confident our patients will love the new space, which will be super convenient to families in Oconee, Clarke, Barrow and Walton counties. You don't have to wait until 2025 to see one of our providers, though; new patients are welcome right now! Learn more at https://bit.ly/3TBE3ZR
