Summer has swam by so fast and Camp Fins & Friends has o-fish-ally come to a close. 🐟 🐢 🌎 🐙 Our education team had blast with our 123 campers, as they learned about our impact on the environment, got an up close look at the day in the life of those who make running an aquarium possible, experienced all the attractions that Union Station has to offer, and everything in-between! We can't wait to see our campers next year, new and returning, for another amazing summer of Camp Fins & Friends!

The school year is right around the corner and our goal is to ensure that every child in the community is given the tools they need to succeed in school! Through our H2O Friends program, the Foundation provides free access to the St. Louis Aquarium and STEM-based conservation and aquatic life education for youth from Title 1 schools as well as other underserved community partners. Our Young Professionals Board celebrated their one year anniversary by Revamping the Riverfront this past weekend! Together, they collected 11 bags of trash, preventing plastic pollution from entering the Mighty Mississippi and eventually our oceans. That amounts to approximately 235 pounds of trash! The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation is extremely grateful for this group of emerging leaders and are excited to see all they continue to do for our community as ambassadors of the Foundation.
