Staghorn is a premium spirits company founded by industry veteran Ray Franklin in 2018. Staghorn owns Garrard County Distilling Co., the largest all-new independent distillery in Kentucky. Located 30 minutes south of Lexington, the 210-acre site includes the 50,000+ sq ft distillery, as well as two 20,000 sq ft rickhouses, with plans for a total of 24 aging warehouses by 2030, each holding nearly 25,000 barrels. The $250+ million facility is capable of producing up to 8.5 million proof gallons or 150,000 barrels of quality whiskey a year. Our friendly team leverages centuries of collective whiskey know how, unparalleled customer service and the most comprehensive state-of-the-art production capabilities in Kentucky to provide customers with a complete, fast end-to-end contract distilling or barrel acquisition experience. We provide a one-stop shop and competitive pricing for those looking to enter the spirits market or those looking to expand their current offerings. Staghorn’s own whiskey portfolio includes All Nations, which was awarded multiple Double Gold medals at the prestigious San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition, demonstrating the high standard of quality that goes into every barrel. The company’s name is born from the engaging Staghorn Sumac, a native shrub with an unexpected appearance, particularly at full bloom, that echoes the curiosity inherent to making great spirits.
