Position: Quality Assurance Location: On-site, Bali. Stairway Games is looking for a meticulous and skilled Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation of high-quality games. Stairway Games is a fully funded private company based in Bali. With creative freedom from a thriving remote team of over 90 individuals from all over Indonesia and active founders, we are working to grow our studio to deliver high-quality games from Indonesia. While we embrace the flexibility of remote work, we are specifically looking for an individual who is located in Bali, Indonesia. Responsibilities: - Create and conduct thorough testing of game features, identifying and documenting bugs and issues. - Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure the resolution of reported issues. - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring all aspects of the game are evaluated. - Verify and validate fixes to ensure the quality and stability of the game. - Drives QA processes, ensuring the work streams are considering company standards - Participate in the creation and maintenance of test documentation. - Provide feedback on gameplay, user interface, and overall player experience. Requirements: - Solid grasp of project management and bug-tracking - Proven experience with any game development and in-game testing and quality assurance. - Familiar with game engines - Strong understanding of the game development process. - Meticulous attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools. - Passion for gaming and understanding of different gaming platforms. - Availability to work in Bali, Indonesia. Position: Combat Level Designer Location: Remote Stairway Games is currently looking for Combat Level Designer to join our team. As a Combat Level Designer, you’ll focus on creating mechanics, scenarios and characters that contribute to deep yet accessible combat experiences for the player. Stairway Games is a fully funded private company based in Bali. Requirements: - Previous experience as a Combat/Game Designer or Level Designer - Knowledge of game design with a good understanding of combat and encounter design, balancing, difficulty, progression, feel & usability. - Experience with Unreal Engine is ideal. - Solid understanding of game pacing, flow, and player psychology. - Strong understanding of the discrete elements that game systems are built upon, and the ability to problem solve both holistically and on a per-component basis - Expert game design sensibilities, including a superb grasp of timing and instincts of what feels right. We develop games using Unreal Engine and Wwise. If you're passionate about audio and gaming, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact in an exciting industry. This is a full-time remote job. What You’ll Do: - Implement runtime audio systems and features as well as related workflows - Collaborate with designers to integrate audio elements that enhance gameplay and user experience. - Iterate on and polish work produced to deliver the highest possible quality - Optimize and troubleshoot audio-related issues, ensuring high performance and quality. Job Title: Thai Game Translators (Freelance) Location: Remote Duration: Freelance (3 months) Word Target: 3000-4000 words per day Start Date: Immediate Job Description: Stairway Games is looking for talented game translators to assist in the localization of our game, Coral Island, into Thai language. As we continue to develop our game, a reimagined farm sim inspired by classics, we need skilled linguists to help us reach a broader audience. These are freelance positions with a maximum duration of 3 months. Responsibilities: - Translate game content from English to Thai. - Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality translations. - Participate in localization quality assurance processes. Qualifications: - Must be Thai native - Strong proficiency in Thai and English (reading and writing). - Must have experience with translation, preferably in the game industry. Experience in book or movie translation is also welcomed - Bachelor's Degree Graduate (Open for all majors). - Attention to detail and a passion for gaming. - Excellent communication skills. - Self-disciplined, well-organized, and eager to learn. - Previous experience as a game translator is a plus.
