🇺🇲 The U.S. has the lowest share of manufacturing employment of nine major advanced economies, according to the CPA. Could #robots bring jobs back? Many factors play into these labor statistics, including workers’ changing expectations for increased flexibility and better work-life balance (U.S. Chamber of Commerce). Combine this with a retiring workforce, and we’ve got ourselves a major #laborgap in the manufacturing sector. For our founder and CEO, Evan Beard, this conundrum is top of mind: “If we can automate a lot of the production, we can actually bring jobs back to this country and we can compete on price,” he stated earlier this month, in an interview with #NYNext’s Lydia Moynihan. And according to Beard, bringing manufacturing home extends beyond the sector: “It can improve national security.
