With 30% of New Yorkers riding bicycles and daily cycling trips on the rise, New York City’s Green Wave bike lanes play an important role in making streets safer. The network of interconnected bike lanes spans the city’s five boroughs and features design elements that improve safety and visibility, such as continuous demarcation and green skip bars at key intersections, which are enhanced and protected by GAF’s StreetBond PRO pavement coatings.

Surrounded by mountains and forests in the Eastern Alps, the KLE-SCH's impressive architecture blends into the alpine landscape. The sports facility features an 18-meter climbing tower resembling a rocky outcrop and approximately 3,000 square meters of flat and green roofs, all protected by BMI Group products. Various bitumen solutions were used for the project, including waterproofing membranes and a UV-resistant cover installed on the climbing tower. Root barrier layers provide additional protection for the green roofs, including the one at ground level, which has blossomed into a vibrant flower meadow. #BMIGroup

As the Paris games come to a close, we’re taking a look at one of the city’s architectural gems. The Hotel de Ville, also known as Paris City Hall, became a venue for large celebrations after its reconstruction in the late 1800s. In recent years, the historic building underwent significant updates, transforming the previously inaccessible roof terrace into a vegetable garden and vineyard. City officials and landscape developers collaborated on the urban architectural project, which included preparing nearly 1,000 square meters of flat roofing. BMI Group supported the design with reinforced waterproofing and a honeycomb grate for artificial groundwater, providing irrigation for the thriving green space. Swipe to see more.
