Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day! 🎉 Today, as we celebrate Native Peoples and honor our histories, cultures, and identities, we want to take a moment to spotlight our “Language and Learning Resource for Non-Indigenous People”. This resource is an initial reference for funders and other philanthropy professionals exploring the intersection of Indigenous Peoples and philanthropy. At Native Americans in Philanthropy, we are actively working to Indigenize the philanthropic process; developing shared understandings through education and communication is part of that effort. We created this resource for those who wish to begin or expand their understanding of Indigenous communities and how they intersect with the philanthropy sector. This resource is not a one-size-fits-all guide to working with Indigenous Peoples, Tribal Nations, or Indigenous-led organizations. Please treat it as an entry point, not a checkbox. Enjoy and share our new resource guide ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eG2SPSqs #IndigenousPeoplesDay #IndigenousPeople #WeAreIndigenous #Native #NativeAmerican #Indigenous #Philanthropy #NativePhilanthropy #Nonprofit #NativeNonprofit #IndianCountry #TribalNations

🌟 Today on National Coming Out Day, we celebrate the strength it takes to be out at work and beyond. For many, the decision to come out is deeply personal and challenging—especially when 50% of LGBTQ+ workers report experiencing some form of workplace discrimination. Shoutout to organizations like Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, who work tirelessly to create inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. If you’re looking for resources or support, Out & Equal has a wealth of tools to help both individuals and businesses champion equity and inclusion. 🤝❤️ 🔗 Explore Their Resources: https://lnkd.in/gV-_QfT #EquityInAction #NationalComingOutDay #LGBTQSupport #WorkplaceInclusion #StandpointConsulting

We couldn’t be more excited to see our founder, Dr. Adriane Johnson-Williams, and her sister, Kelis Rowe, featured on the cover of Memphis Magazine! 📚✨ This piece, written by the incredible David Waters, beautifully captures their sisterhood and how much the City of Memphis has influenced their journeys. It’s a story about resilience, creativity, and family. From Adriane’s work on race equity and social change to Kelis’ young adult novels, they both give credit to Memphis for shaping the people they’ve become. 💫 And what a joy to see them show some love to their mom, who has always been their biggest cheerleader! 💐🙌 A heartfelt thank you to David and photographer Karen Pulfer Focht for bringing this dream-come-true cover story to life. Adriane has always hoped to see herself on the cover, and to have it happen with her sister by her side is truly special. Dr. AJW is a little excited, can you tell? 🙌 READ THE WHOLE STORY HERE >>> https://lnkd.in/ebs46eTd #MemphisAuthors #StandpointConsulting #MemphisMagazine #SisterGoals #CommunityAndCulture #Memphis

At Standpoint Consulting, we recognize the importance of language and representation. That’s why we’re celebrating Latine Heritage Month instead of Hispanic Heritage Month. 🌟 From Afro-Latinx to Indigenous communities, the Latine identity is a rich, vibrant tapestry that includes more than just a connection to the Spanish language. Join us as we celebrate the many identities, histories, and contributions that make up the Latine community. 💬 Let’s Learn on Purpose and honor the diversity of these voices! #LatineHeritageMonth #EquityInAction #StandpointConsulting #DiversityMatters #OurStandpoint
