Over the last two decades, Stanislaus Community Foundation has worked to improve the lives of the residents and the vibrancy of the unique and diverse communities throughout Stanislaus County. Of the $6.8 million SCF granted in 2023, more than $199,000 was to Civic Engagement organizations.

We are excited to announce the launch of Progress with Purpose, a program offered through the Porges Nonprofit Excellence Initiative! Progress with Purpose is a Nonprofit HR Accelerator Program, created in partnership with Mission Edge, designed to cover comprehensive Human Resources concepts. This year, Stanislaus Community Foundation awarded over $350,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing higher education. Joanna R. is a recipient of the David W. Moore Memorial Scholarship. Joanna shared,“After completing my associate degree at MJC, I plan to transfer to a university (preferably UC Davis or CSU Cal Poly) in hopes of obtaining a bachelor degree in Animal Science. My goal is to apply to veterinary school in hopes of becoming a Veterinarian. This scholarship is going to significantly make a difference in my life and education.” All of us at Stanislaus Community Foundation would like to congratulate Esmeralda and wish her the best on her educational journey!

Stanislaus 2030 has several open positions on their Advisory Committee. Ideal candidates will offer a blend of experience, be active community based members, and share a commitment to Stanislaus 2030 strategic priorities around childcare, talent development, and small business supports. This year, Stanislaus Community Foundation awarded over $350,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing higher education. Lauren is a recipient of the Bob Boggeri Farms Scholarship. Lauren shared, "My academic plans are to attend Modesto Junior College to earn my Associate Degree in Ag Business. I will then transfer to CSU Fresno to complete my Bachelors Degree in Ag Business. This degree will open numerous job opportunities to help me be successful in life. Because of your support, my academic goals are attainable and in reach."
