Everyone knows that regular service, like getting a car’s oil changed, keeps complex mechanical equipment running smoothly and functioning properly. Well, automatic doors are no different. Without routine inspections to identify potential issues and a regular service schedule, eventually even the best-made doors will experience issues. Luckily, you can perform a daily safety check easily and quickly. And to keep your doors working properly, we offer regular service plans that can help keep users safe and lower the overall cost of your doors. One of the most important elements in designing healthcare environments is recognizing the needs of the people who use them every single day: healthcare providers. That’s why we spoke with nurses and other healthcare workers when designing our ProCare™ line of doors for intensive care units. Our goal is to always help healthcare providers deliver the best care possible. Learn more about how good design assists in patient care here: http://ms.spr.ly/6044mL65m

Specifying doors is just one of the many complex tasks architects face each day. To make it easier, we created our “Spec Assist” form for Automatic Sliding Doors and Swing Door Operators. This interactive web form acts as a guide to reduce the time it takes to generate solutions that fit perfectly with your designs. More than 90 years ago, we were granted the first patent for modern automatic doors and we've never stopped innovating. Case in point: The Dura-Glide® DT™ is now making quick-serve restaurants faster and more efficient than ever by allowing their drive-thru employees to operate it as a window during slow times and as fully functioning doors during busy hours. Holiday road trips almost always involve fast food at some point, so how do quick serve restaurants rise to meet the challenges of increased demand? Our very own Greg Erickson has some thoughts. “While restaurants certainly welcome improved sales, increased demand has an impact felt by both in-restaurant customers who experience longer wait-times as well as by staff-members serving the food. We’ve seen that improving configurations within QSRs is a way to maximize efficiencies and create a better customer experience overall. One way to deliver this improved experience is by retrofitting the drive-thru with a combination drive-thru window/automatic door. This allows staff-members to utilize the drive-thru window during low-traffic periods while also allowing the staff to deliver food directly to customers in their cars through the doors when traffic is high. When drive-thru spaces are opened up with an automatic door, both customers and staff report higher levels of satisfaction.” –Greg Erickson, National Account Manager STANLEY Access Technologies Learn more about how STANLEY Access Technologies is improving the drive-thru experience here: http://ms.spr.ly/6047lAliH
