Happy Manufacturing Week! Today, we highlight Morgan Chair, a proud family business that has been crafting custom upholstered furniture in Stanly County since 1983. The family business currently employs 25 craftsmen in their commercial and residential divisions. Fun fact: Their work has been featured on HGTV and in various interior design publications. Morgan Chair also services celebrities and sports figures nationwide through its residential division. With a dedicated team of employees, Morgan Chair specializes in high-end, customized furniture primarily for commercial spaces like hotel lobbies, medical offices, and restaurants. Their products range from upholstered benches, chairs, booths, and accent pieces. Their furniture is shipped nationwide and can be found in all 48 contiguous states! Two years ago, the company originally located in Stanfield faced a devastating fire that destroyed everything, but that didn't stop them. The owner, Jesse Morgan, states, "We reopened the very next business day—mostly due to the support of the Stanly County manufacturing and business community, friends, and clients. We remain grateful for this." The company reopened in Oakboro and recently celebrated its second year at this facility.
