I encourage anyone outside as well as inside the insurance industry to send a letter to the California Dept. of Insurance (ie; Real Estate, building trades, Morgage companies) tell their story on how this is affecting your industry. The more unique letters sent the better. Bottom line is we need more specific time frames in order to speed up the process. The CDI is accepting public comment on the new catastrophe modeling regulations until the end of day, Tuesday, April 23. This is a great opportunity to participate in a grassroots campaign and send a letter directly to CDI letting them know that action is needed to get these models approved as quickly as possible.
