Did you know? Weak passwords are the most common way online criminals access accounts. When we choose strong passwords, we make it much harder for someone to steal our data, money and identity. Seal your accounts with these simple password tips. ✅ Make them LONG: At least 16 characters. Longer is stronger! ✅ Make them RANDOM: Create a memorable (to you) passphrase of 5-7 unrelated words. Or use a random string of letters, numbers and symbols. ✅ Make them UNIQUE: Use a different password for each of your accounts. The Southern Ute Indian Tribe (SUIT) and the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe (UMUT) lands are located in the extremely remote Four Corners region, in the southwest corner of Colorado. Due to their remote, rural nature, residents struggle to connect to good internet. They’ve been left behind while urban parts of the state move forward with modern technology. But there’s good news: SUIT and UMUT both received federal funding to improve internet infrastructure, connecting them to high-speed broadband for generations to come. The Colorado Broadband Office is telling their story. Watch The Tribal Nations Broadband Story here - https://lnkd.in/gS735xNy #internetforall, #coloradobroadband

Proud of my colleagues at TAP, Kate and Brian, who made the Digital Accessibility Workshop a reality! It's full of fun and insightful exercises that will let you experience digital technology like online forms, videos, colors and more, the way folks with various disabilities do. Experience the digital world through the lens of someone with colorblindness, ADHD, dyslexia, and other disabilities to help expand your empathy.
More than 2,500 people have already visited OIT's Digital Accessibility Workshop - are you one of them? The Workshop features more than a dozen interactive exercises designed to show that not everyone experiences digital technology the same way. These exercises can help you better understand how people with disabilities consume web pages, forms, colors, videos and more: https://lnkd.in/gY5KHM7w

Last year when Colorado Governor's Office of Information Technology had its employee event at the zoo, we had just launched our first three employee resource groups. It was many of the members' first time meeting in person (especially since the vast majority of OIT positions are 100% remote). It gave me so much joy at today's "FlaminGO to the Zoo!" event to visibly see and share the communities built through our EDI Action Alliance and now FIVE employee resource groups. I continue to be proud of the meaningful and refreshing work we're doing at OIT.
