Jamie Black from the Indiana Department of Health is in our mentor spotlight today! This is what her nominator had to say about her: "Jamie goes above and beyond what is required of her daily. She pushes her employees beyond their normal work functions to create and pursue new things, guiding our policies and programs. She has successfully worked across divisions, linking HIV/STI/Viral Hepatitis with IDEPD to co-lead an investigator that specializes in outbreak response and has been invaluable to both divisions in capacity building. Jamie is an exemplary leader and mentor and deserves to be recognized for all the hard work she does in and out of the office for public health." The Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education (CDHHE) could be coming to your community! 👏 The CDHHE mobile unit is equipped with a sound booth and audiology tools for hearing tests and troubleshooting hearing technology, providing support for children who are deaf and hard of hearing. During visits, the team addresses specialized early intervention, educational audiology, classroom strategies, communication needs and technology support.
