Here are some tips from our very own, Jess Gravelle, to help you stay on top of the game: 🚀 Diversify Ad Platforms: With political ads crowding Meta, consider shifting some of your budget to other platforms like TikTok, YouTube, or Pinterest. Expanding your presence on different channels can help maintain visibility and mitigate the impact of increased competition. 🚀 Focus on First-Party Data: As Meta’s AI systems face more challenges and glitches, it's important to leverage first-party data for better audience targeting. Create custom audiences from your CRM or website visitors and use lookalike audiences for more precise targeting. 🚀 Experiment with Creative Formats: With increased ad competition, standing out is key. Test new creative formats, like Stories, Reels, or Carousels, to keep engagement high. Short-form video content, which captures attention quickly, can also help cut through the political noise. 🚀 Monitor and Adapt in Real-Time: Be ready to closely monitor performance as Meta's AI bugs continue to affect results.     📈 CPMs, AI, Ad Spikes, Oh My! Navigating 2024 Election Marketing Digital marketing shifts significantly during election years, bringing challenges and opportunities as brands strive to maintain visibility amidst heightened competition and costs. With the 2024 presidential campaign heating up and early voting starting next month, digital marketers need to navigate these dynamics carefully. In a recent discussion with our Strategist, Kevin Pierce, and Media Buyer, Alex Sandoval, we observed that 2024 will see unprecedented digital ad spending. Early 2024 has already seen substantial CPM increases in Q1 alone: 💠 January: +15.81% 💠 February: +16.73% 💠 March: +21.84% Kevin noted, “April and May saw a market cool-down, but we have seen an opportunity in Q3 even with some signs of increasing instability. Q4 will likely see intensified competition and CPM spikes. Capitalize on current lower CPMs to prepare for the competitive landscape ahead as we drive towards early voting.” Projections suggest political ad spending could reach $10.2B-$12B in 2024, a 13%-30% increase from 2019-2020. This surge, coupled with early voting in key states, means digital ad pressures will start earlier and last longer, especially in battleground regions. Also in play is Generative AI, which is expected to increase misinformation on social media. Alex Sandoval stressed, “With more misinformation, brands must be cautious about ad placements. Strategic control and vigilance are key to protecting your brand’s reputation.” 💡 Stealth's Top 5 Strategies to Thrive During Election Season: ✔ Optimize Budget Allocation: Identify low-competition periods and adjust spend to maximize ROI. ✔Invest in Creative Differentiation: Focus on high-impact, video content that is known to yield a 20% higher CTR than static. Run A/B tests and iterate quickly. ✔Leverage Targeting and Placement Controls: Refine audience segments, exclude risky placements, and use site blocklists. ✔Monitor Regional Trends: Adjust placements and budgets based on regional competition and CPM trends. ✔Stay Informed and Agile: Regularly review data and be ready to pivot strategy as needed.
